Chris Holmes, Transport Director at WM5G has contributed his opinion to a debate on pedestrian confidence in fully autonomous vehicles for Transporation Professional Magazine.

Chris is confident in the driving competency of connected and autonomous vehicles having first-hand experience of working on them, noting the distinct advantages that automated vehicles have on the road thanks to their ability to compute vast amounts of data rapidly.

Fully autonomous vehicles also have the ability to perceive hazards and other vehicle’s movement, as well as data from other vehicles or road operators which allows autonomous vehicles to negotiate a wider range of traffic and road conditions safely.
