Infrastructure Acceleration

Infrastructure Acceleration – it’s all about getting the foundation right, making it easy to roll-out 5G and fibre networks.

And importantly: doing business in the West Midlands.

The WM5G infrastructure team is accelerating the roll-out of 5G and fibre technology to help improve poor mobile coverage in urban and suburban areas and create the conditions for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and other network providers to accelerate 5G and fibre deployment.

WM5G is concentrating on “barrier busting” – facilitating collaboration between local authorities and the MNOs, removing obstacles and making the roll-out of 5G smoother, quicker and more affordable.

WM5G is also looking at new models for deploying 5G and fibre networks in dense urban environments where a wide range of parties need to collaborate and develop new working approaches to address key challenges.

Imagine the West Midlands accelerating 5G deployment in urban areas with new 5G Infrastructure solutions – a centre of digital excellence in the UK.
