We are getting the region 5G Transport Ready
WM5G are here to test, prove and scale new 5G services in the transport sector and we have more than 70 use cases currently being explored with a view to identifying a smaller number to develop and take forward. Our key focus is all about getting people from A to B across the West Midlands with the help of 5G technology – whether that be road, road or simply enhancing the passenger experience.
We will be launching competitions in the new year and soon after announcing the UK’s first 5G sensor network trial to help reduce road congestion and pollution – so please watch this space. In the meantime, we have produced a video to drive awareness and engagement:
